From its beginnings, four years ago, the North West Theatre Company has established a reputation for producing and hosting fine live performances. From its base at the beautiful Roxy Theatre in Bingara it has sought and attracted a regional audience.

The key factor in the success has been its effectiveness as a Company. A dedicated, enthusiastic and talented core of members accepting executive duties and an ever increasing group of active members has provided the basis for success.

With its own productions, the NWTC has always employed professional Directors to oversee its shows. This has freed up the executive members to ensure that productions are well constructed and promoted and has brought fresh ideas and skills to their casts.

The NWTC has a busy and varied year planned for 2006 including a One Act play season in partnership with the Inverell Theatre Company as part of the Tom Roberts Festival, a Theatre Sports activity as part of the Bingara Orange Festival, a Ten Minute Play Festival in September and possibly a playwright’s forum and a Pantomime near the end of the year.

The NWTC is always seeking new members for performance, production, and front of house, and has members from seven to seventy.
