Jenie conducted four interpretive workshops based on the theme FAMILY PORTRAITS during the latter half of 2005.

The workshops covered the following:

  • A new way of looking at the face - blind drawing, single line, collage. Consider colour symbols and words to make a self portrait.

  • The world around us – sky earth and water.  ‘Plein air’ painting.  Look at the world through a viewer and prepare a collage.

  • Still life – well anything that doesn’t move. Sketching, enlarging, embossing, collaging, paint rollers, monoprinting and creating different textures.

  • A 9x5 day - If the Heidelberg School of artists could do it so can the artists of Inverell.

Feedback from the school workshops held in 2005
