Trisha believes photography to be far more
about what's in your head than optics, f
stops, apertures and whether you have
digital or film camera - large or small
format. 'Photography is not about the camera
you have - it's primarily about light and
composition.'
The evolution into digital images has made
photography accessible to all, leading to
the 'happy snap' mentality in its most basic
form with its point and shoot approach -
Trisha aims to show you how to create the
most artistic images by being responsive to
your environment - embracing the quixotic
climate changes - looking at the intense
light on the landscape during a storm -
appreciating the changing skies and the
beauty and subtlety of tones of black and
white or sepia. Shooting into the sun and
manoeuvring your body to the right position
to get the best light can create stunning
images.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to
move from 'happy snapping' to taking more
memorable images.
There are no specifics of camera equipment
to bring - just whatever you are using - be
it film, digital, tripod or medium format.
Rather than a technical lesson, this will
train your eye to see the world around you
in a new light. |
